About me
I’m Catherine, a wife and a mother, piano teacher and pianist/organist. As a homeschooling mum I like to consider the ups, and the upside downs of parenting – bibically, within or outwith our society – I like to ask what we are looking for when educating our youth; how we can enrich our children’s relationships and experiences; how we can fuel their physical growth; how we can assist their mental resilience; how we can guide their spiritual growth, love, hope, faith; and how we can kindle contributing citizens. There are so many considerations, and with so much sound, knowledge based advice available it seems so much that we can’t possibly apply it all. Or can we. I like to look at the latest findings, whether scientific or what revelations are exposed through the latest cultural trends, and consider how to include or exclude them in the life of our family. After all, that’s the hope, isn’t it – to have the freedom to assess what is and isn’t appropriate in the lives of our youth and next generation.
Of course, it’s a great deal of fun – the adventure of our life time, growing and living, and loving. All the opportunities each day presents for us to build up our young ones. I like to find new ways to empower and enrich our lives – as a family – my life, next to the life of my husband, and the lives of my children – kids and tweens. Read through my blog and see the various anecdotes of the day, our latest experiment, what habits stick, what may not, the latest book I’m reading, the latest youtube / podcast I’m listening to. All in pursuit of the best for our faith, our family, our church and our community.
